Choosing the right service for me
Individual or group?
Individual and group work run at LPP are very complementary and also stand alone, so you can safely participate in both and gain from each. If you are receiving therapy or considering participating in a group from another organisation it is advisable you discuss this with your therapist and the group facilitator to ensure there is uniformity in approach.
Counselling or Coaching?
Counselling and coaching share many core skills and with both approaches the aim is to shift your life in a positive direction. However, the focus and starting point of each of these approaches is different. In counselling you would be exploring personal issues in much greater depth than you would generally be exploring in the context of coaching. The best way to determine which approach will be most helpful for you is to be clear about the reason you are seeking assistance and what you want to achieve.
Online or in-person?
Counselling and coaching can be accessed in-person in our clinic and remotely online. The decision as to which is best for you will depend on your circumstances and personal preference. For more information, see ‘Advantages and Limitations of Online Consultation’.
If you would like to explore your options further and what may be most suited for you and your circumstances, feel free to contact us and Jenny Makros, the Practice Director, will respond personally to your enquiry.
